SDPC "Stage 1" Camshaft Kit for Gen III Hemi

Description

This camshaft kit requires the MDS (Multi-Displacement System) to be removed and disabled if so equipped. This is a complete cam kit for manual transmission vehicles or engines that have already been MDS-deleted.

SDPC has developed a specialized line of camshafts engineered to tap into the untapped power Dodge left on the table. While the factory 5.7L Hemi is no slouch, power falls off sharply past 5,000 RPM. Our performance Hemi camshafts not only deliver substantial horsepower gains, but also extend the usable powerband all the way through 6,500 RPM.

The SDPC "Stage 1" camshaft is our entry-level grind—delivering an unmistakable boost without compromising manners. It idles smooth with a subtle performance lope while picking up power everywhere throughout the rev range without sacrificing daily drivability. In dyno testing on an otherwise stock 5.7L Hemi, our Stage 1 grind picked up 81 horsepower and 38 lb-ft of torque. Factory torque converters can be retained; an aftermarket high-stall converter is not required.

Note: Specifically engineered for the 5.7L Hemi. Not recommended for 6.4L / 392 Hemi applications.

All SDPC Gen III 2009+ Hemi Camshaft Kits Include:

• SDPC-spec performance camshaft ground on a high-quality billet core by a premier USA manufacturer
• Matched valve spring set (PAC Racing or Mopar Performance, matched to cam specifications and application)
• Manley hardened pushrods (8.100" intake / 6.800" exhaust lengths)
• SDPC valve spring retainers for 5.7L applications (not required on 6.4L)
• Camshaft phaser lockout block with installation tool

NOTE: It is vital that pushrod length is verified at the time of assembly with any camshaft, lifter, or valvetrain modification. SDPC supplies pushrods that provide correct preload when paired with genuine non-MDS Mopar lifters and our camshafts in standard-deck applications.
