SDPC "El Choppo" Camshaft Kit for Gen III Hemi

This camshaft kit requires the MDS (Multi-Displacement System) to be removed and disabled if so equipped. This is a complete cam kit for your manual transmission car or otherwise MDS deleted Hemi.

SDPC has developed a line of camshafts intended to tap into the potential that Dodge left on the table. The stock 5.7 Hemi is no slouch but power falls off hard after 5000rpm. Our line of hemi camshafts will not only increase horsepower significantly, we will also have your 5.7 Hemi making power all the way through 6500rpm.

"El Choppo" is one of our most popular 5.7 Hemi camshafts. It’s built to deliver that aggressive cammed idle we all love and make great power without sacrificing drivability. If you want someone to know you’ve rolled up, you want El Choppo. Power gains are right between stage 1 and stage 2, and idle quality is going to make sure everyone knows you’re packing heat. El Choppo gained 92 horsepower and 37 lb/ft of torque. No torque converter change is necessary. Not recommended for 6.4l Hemi.

All of our Gen III 2009+ Hemi camshaft kits include:

-The camshaft of your choice, ground on a quality core to SDPC specs by one of the most trusted camshaft manufacturers in the USA

-Matching valve springs, either from PAC Racing or Mopar Performance depending on the camshaft specs and application

-Manley hardened pushrods - 8.100" and 6.800" length.

-SDPC Valve spring retainers for the 5.7, these are not required on the 6.4

-Camshaft phaser lockout with tool

NOTE: It is vital that with any camshaft, lifter, or valvetrain modification that pushrod length is verified at the time of installation. SDPC provides pushrods that are the correct length with Mopar lifters and our camshafts in most applications.

This camshaft kit does not include all of the parts for removing MDS from an MDS enabled engine. If your vehicle has MDS, please see our separate MDS delete kits. They have an option to add this cam kit at a discounted price as a part of the kit.
