SDPC has developed a line of camshafts intended to tap into the potential that Dodge left on the table. The stock 5.7L Hemi is no slouch, but power falls off hard after 5,000 RPM. Our line of Hemi camshafts will not only increase horsepower significantly, but will also have your 5.7L Hemi making power all the way through 6,500 RPM.
"El Choppo" is one of our most popular 5.7L Hemi camshafts. It’s built to deliver that aggressive cammed idle we all love and make great power without sacrificing drivability. If you want someone to know you’ve rolled up, you want El Choppo. Power gains fall right between Stage 1 and Stage 2, and the idle quality ensures everyone knows you’re packing heat. In testing, El Choppo gained 92 horsepower and 37 lb-ft of torque. No torque converter change is necessary. Note: Not recommended for 6.4L Hemi applications.
Important Installation & Fitment Notes:
- Requires the MDS (Multi-Displacement System) to be removed and disabled.
- Requires aftermarket custom tuning (not provided).
- Requires an upgraded valve spring kit.
