Description
Beginning in 2019, GM introduced Dynamic Fuel Management (DFM)—an advanced evolution of the previous Active Fuel Management (AFM/DOD) architecture. Unlike earlier systems that deactivated only specific cylinders, DFM can cycle across all 17 cylinder patterns, requiring dedicated components when repairing or completely deleting the system from your engine. Engineered specifically for 2019+ Gen V 5.3L L84 platforms, this comprehensive delete kit provides all the essential physical hardware needed to eliminate troublesome collapsing lifters and permanently mechanical-delete DFM.

Key Kit Features & Important Technical Notes:
- Mandatory Camshaft Replacement: A non-DFM camshaft swap is strictly required when deleting DFM/DOD on Gen V engines to prevent valvetrain failure caused by mismatched lobe profiles.
- Complete Oil Control: Includes (8) precision-fit valley tower block-off plugs to reliably eliminate oil feed to deactivated lifter positions.
- OEM-Quality Components: Features durable Fel-Pro MLS head gaskets, Delphi non-AFM roller lifters, and genuine GM TTY hardware.
- Camshaft Bolt Torque Specification: Due to production variances and availability, a replacement cam bolt is not included. GM allows reuse of the factory cam bolt one time: torque to 48 ft-lbs plus an additional 50 degrees.
- ECU Recalibration Required: Disabling mechanical DFM hardware requires reprogramming your engine control module to prevent diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) and instrument cluster warnings.
