It's like a trip back in time to the prime of the Big Block Chevy. You get 438 Horsepower and 500 Torque to absolutely tear up the streets on a budget. Using the latest generation block, it's got 4-bolt mains to tie together the completely forged rotating assembly. The 454HO utilizes a hydraulic roller camshaft to keep it very drivable and also to make sure the TQ curve is so broad that it's always there when you need it. Heavy breathing rectangular port cylinder heads top it off, with 2.19" intake valves and 1.88" exhaust valves.

Description

  • Includes water pump, balancer, 14" flexplate, and aluminum intake manifold

  • Requires additional parts: carb, starter, fuel pump, and distributor

  • Clutch linkage boss is drilled to accept your clutch linkage pivot ball

  • If using cast iron exhaust manifolds, the lower head bolts may need to be replaced with bolts with shorter heads for clearance

  • Includes flexplate for auto transmission applications. For manual trans application use flywheel 14096987 and an 11" clutch assembly

  • Designed for pre-1976 street vehicles or any off road vehicle

  • Not intended for marine applications
