The SDPC Raceshop took the already stout factory Gen V 6.6L cast iron block and applied precision machining modifications to create the ultimate foundation for your next high-horsepower LT build. Engineered for severe-duty durability, this block delivers the structural integrity required for big-inch strokers and high-boost competition applications.
SDPC Raceshop Modifications & Features:
- DOD/AFM towers precision machined out of the block valley, shedding approximately 2 lbs while smoothing internal drain-back
- Billet steel main caps secured with upgraded high-strength main fasteners
- Machined for dual head dowels, providing the flexibility to run Gen V LT or standard Gen III/IV LS cylinder heads
- Sonic tested cylinder walls: SDPC Raceshop recommends a maximum bore size of 4.125" for naturally aspirated builds and 4.085" for forced induction applications
