Description

Eliminate troublesome, failure-prone Active Fuel Management (AFM/DOD) lifters and permanently restore valvetrain reliability to your Gen V 4.3L EcoTec3 V6 engine. Specifically engineered for 2014+ LV3 and LV1 platforms across Chevrolet Silverado, GMC Sierra, Express, and Savana applications, this comprehensive delete kit supplies all the critical mechanical hardware necessary to remove AFM hardware entirely. By replacing collapsing active lifters with a full set of proven Delphi LS7-style non-AFM lifters, blocking valley oil towers, and installing a non-AFM camshaft, this kit provides a permanent mechanical solution to recurring valvetrain failure.

Mandatory Requirements & Technical Notes:

• Mandatory Camshaft Replacement: A non-AFM camshaft swap is strictly required when deleting AFM from the 4.3L V6. Running non-AFM lifters on factory AFM cam lobes will cause severe valvetrain geometry issues and premature failure.
• Complete Lifter & Tray Upgrade: Includes 12 Delphi LS7-style non-AFM lifters and 2 non-AFM lifter guide trays to ensure correct lifter alignment and durable valvetrain performance.
• Oil Gallery Isolation: Includes (3) precision Texas Speed valley tower plugs to positively seal active oil feed ports in the engine block valley.
• Camshaft Phaser Bolt Torque Spec: Due to manufacturing variances and availability, a replacement cam bolt is not included. GM specifies that the original camshaft phaser bolt may be reused one time: torque to 48 ft-lbs plus an additional 50 degrees.
• ECM Recalibration Required: Eliminating mechanical AFM hardware requires turning off the AFM configuration in the ECM to prevent diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs). Use the DiabloSport handheld option for stock-profile cams on 2014–2018 models, or an HP Tuners device for custom calibrations and 2019+ applications.
