Is it time to take your 1996-1999 GM truck or SUV to the next level. We have a solution with the big-torque HT383E crate engine. The displacement gain and unique parts were chosen to guarantee a wide, flat torque curve that will supply at least 400 lb.ft between 2,500 and 4,000 RPM. The engine starts with a brand-new block with four-bolt main caps – a strength-enhancing feature most production truck blocks don’t have. The crate engine includes: a forged steel crankshaft, heavy duty PM steel rods, hypereutectic aluminum pistons, smooth hydraulic roller camshaft, iron Vortec heads, and aluminum intake manifold. The 9.1:1 compression ratio is perfect for regular gasoline at all altitudes and engine loads. Ready for you to swap over the accessories from the tired Vortec 350. It is also backed with a 24-month/50,000 mile limited warranty.
