Transmission Tuning Guide

The Tuning School's transmission tuning course is a combination of knowledge for tuning GM 4, 6 and 8 speed automatic transmissions. The course is divided up into separate processes for tuning each transmission, which includes Torque Management, Shift times, Shift firmness, shift points and feel.

The Tuning School will also guide you through setting up the VCM scanner, so you can log the parameters needed to understand what's happening with the transmission, including line pressures, shift times and converter slip.

Since the introduction of the original 6 Speed tuning course back in 2008, many customers have experienced the huge improvements in driveability, performance and longevity offered through retuning these transmissions.
