Signs of Wear & Troubleshooting

• Although it is one of the peskiest spots on your vehicle to check, it is important to regularly inspect the underside and other exposed components on your vehicle for signs of rust and corrosion. Small signs of deterioration caused by oxidation or other contaminants can grow quickly when vehicle components are not regularly cleaned and preventative measures, such as undercoating, are not used.

Good Maintenance Practices

• Due to the variety of paint processes available, an exact color match may not be possible and the painted surface may develop cracks.
• Product should be used only in a well-ventilated area.
• Shake well before use.
• When spraying, the nozzle should be held 10-12 inches away from surface. Apply a uniform coat, and keep the can moving while spraying to avoid excessive accumulation, runs, and sagging.
• Exposed areas like the underbody of your vehicle contain some of your vehicle's most critical components, and are consistently assaulted by harmful contaminants like moisture, dirt, grime, and salt. They are also some of the most difficult areas to inspect and clean on a regular basis.
• High pressure sprayers are a great way to keep exposed components free of contaminants, especially salt in the winter.
• Undercoating, anti-corrosion, and rust protection products are preventative measures that minimize damage and help to eliminate the need for significant, costly repairs. They aid in repairs by penetrating rusted and/or highly corroded components and allowing for easy disassembly.
