Critical Fitment & Installation Notes:

• Mandatory Non-AFM Camshaft: This kit is intended strictly for use with a non-DOD/AFM camshaft (factory replacement or performance aftermarket). Retaining a factory DOD/AFM camshaft with standard non-AFM lifters will result in improper valve seating, severe cylinder misfires, and valvetrain damage.
• Pre-2007 3-Bolt Camshaft Applications: Early production or pre-2007 vehicles utilizing a factory 3-bolt camshaft gear cannot use the single-bolt camshaft listed above. For these applications, select camshaft part number SDR51721, which drives like stock and retains your factory 3-bolt cam gear and valve springs.
• AFM Valley Port Plugs: Includes (8) precision Texas Speed block-off plugs that directly seal off active oil towers beneath the valley plate, maintaining proper oil pressure without requiring a full valley cover replacement.
• Delphi LS7 Lifters & Guides: Upgrades all 16 valve lifter positions to proven Delphi LS7-style hydraulic roller lifters paired with fresh non-AFM trays to ensure proper alignment and prevent lifter rotation in the bore.
• PCM Calibration Required: Mechanical removal of AFM hardware requires disabling AFM parameters within the vehicle's engine control module (ECM/PCM) to prevent diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) and instrument cluster check-engine lights.
