It an an aluminum block, displacement on demand, 5.3L engine that fits 2007-2009 Trailblazers, Envoys, Suburbans, Silverados, Yukons, and Sierras that use engine VIN codes LC9 and LH6. Description

The 5.3L LS based engine was first introduced in 1999 for GM Pick-ups and SUV's. This all aluminum 5.3L long block crate engine is a new replacement for most 2008 thru 2009 Chevrolet and GMC Pick-ups and SUV's. This 5.3L assembly fits most LC9 and LH6 applications with engine codes "M" with cylinder deactivation (DOD, AFM)and engine codes "3" for Flex Fuel with cylinder deactivation. To verify the engine code in your application please call our Tech Department with your VIN and we will gladly identify the correct replacement engine and answer any questions you might have.
