GM Part Number 17800568 LS Head Bolt Kit 2004-13. This is a set of head bolts to install ONE cylinder head. For a complete engine you will need to order two of this part number.

New GM torque-to-yield head bolt set for the "2nd Design" LS engine family also know as the "short" head bolt style blocks. Fits 4.8L, 5.3L, 5.7L, 6.0L, 6.2L and 7.0L blocks that were made in 2004 and later. GM torque-to-yield head bolts can NOT be re-used once they have been installed and torqued to GM specifications.

Torque Procedure for GM LS Head Bolts 2nd Design #17800568

  1. Tighten 1 thru 10 to 22Ft-Lbs (30NM) in sequence

  2. Tighten 1 thru 10 using the Torque Angle Method to 90-Degrees in sequence

  3. Tighten 1 thru 10 to 70-Degrees in sequence

  4. Tighten 11 thru 15 to 22Ft-Lbs (30NM) in sequence
