It's been updated and improved by starting with the newest generation 4-bolt main block, and then filling that block with an undoubtedly strong all forged rotating assembly. The old flat tappet camshaft was axed and replaced with a modern hydraulic roller that really broadens the torque curve and increases drivability at the same time. The aluminum oval-port cylinder heads with 100cc chambers breath heavy and bring the compression up to a pump gas friendly but very aggressive 10.1:1 compression ratio. Build on heritage and reputation and then improved with technology and experience, you can bring your project car to a new level with the ZZ427 and all of the 480hp and 490tq that comes with it.

- Clutch linkage boss is drilled and tapped to accept your clutch linkage pivot ball
- If using cast iron exhaust manifolds, lower head bolts may need replaced with bolts that have a shorter head for clearance
- Includes 14" automatic transmission flexplate. Use flywheel designed for internally balanced engines in manual transmission applications
- Designed for pre-1976 street vehicles or any offroad vehicle
