A: Yes, though the water and ammonia used in ACDelco Cooling Coil Coating evaporates faster when heat is used in the drying process. However, even without heat, the product will dry and cure. In ambient temperatures of 70 degrees Fahrenheit/20 degrees Celsius and low humidity (less than 50%) the product can be cured in an airstream in approximately three hours.
Q: Is it necessary to clean the evaporator before applying ACDelco Cooling Coil Coating?
A: Yes, it is recommended to use the product on as clean a surface as possible. However, advance cleaning is only necessary if there is substantial contamination visible on the evaporator surface.
